Heriberto Saldivar is the Head of Strategy at the European Space Agency (ESA). Prior to this role, he served as Managing Director and Technical Head at Brinc, a venture capital accelerator, where he invested in and advised over 130 tech companies spanning 28 nationalities until January 2022.

While pursuing his bachelor’s degree at Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Heriberto worked on several innovative projects, including the development of a biped robot and an automated rover. He also led a team in designing and building miniature space drone systems and worked as a team leader at Procter & Gamble, where he contributed to new product development and production line upgrades.

After graduating, Heriberto earned a master’s degree from National Cheng Kung University, participating in an international scramjet (supersonic engine) research project between Europe and Taiwan. He was later awarded the prestigious Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme, joining the PolyU High-speed Thermo Fluid and MAV/UAV Laboratory, where he developed software aimed at designing the next generation of space vehicles and planes.
